Hi Nick, Rough-scaleds aren’t particularly large snakes, could the prey possibly have been an Antechinus of some sort. A bandicoot large enough to be out of it’s mothers pouch would seem a tad large a prey for a snake that is less than a metre in length, envious of the sighting though. I’ve had some close encounters with Rough-scaled Snakes in SEQ, usually when I’ve been crawling along the ground in sunny spots in wet thickets. Cheers – Paul
