This afternoon I saw a Red Wattlebird sun baking (that pose you often see Magpies and Currawongs assuming, wings spread, back to sun and back feathers fluffed). The only difference was this was on electricity wires, somewhat undercover as it was amidst tree-branches (AT Government not pruning its street trees away from wires). — John Leonard Canberra _______________________________________________ Birding-Aus mailing list Birding-Aus@birding-aus.org To change settings or unsubscribe visit: http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org
Hi John, I saw a Brush Cuckoo doing the same trick perched in a tree yesterday, but only with one wing. The Crested Pigeons only do it one wing at a time also from my experience. —– Original Message —– Sent: Friday, January 10, 2014 7:07 PM _______________________________________________ Birding-Aus mailing list Birding-Aus@birding-aus.org To change settings or unsubscribe visit: http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org
