Another nature app that some might find handy, is the Australian Museum’s Field Guide to NSW Fauna. It has around 1,000 of the commoner species of birds, mammals, insects and arachnids, fish, amphibians etc. a handy app to have on your phone, iPod or whatever when you are wandering through the bush. It is available, free, for iOS and Android at http://australianmuseum.net.au/Field-Guide-to-NSW-Fauna-Mobile-App Carl Clifford _______________________________________________ Birding-Aus mailing list Birding-Aus@birding-aus.org To change settings or unsubscribe visit: http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org
On Android at least there are a number of similar guides. Museum of Victoria has a “Field Guide to Victorian Fauna” and a “Field Guide Northern Territory” and also one for the ACT. Queensland Museum has one for Queensland, TMAG one for Tasmania, WA Museum on for WA and SA Museum one for (surprise) SA. I have only tried the Victorian one which is reasonable but obviously not comprehensive.
