Be assured, this particular resident has got it wrong, very wrong.
The reason is that her property was excised from the original wetlands acquisition proposal after she drained the wetland on her property.
So the person in question is pretty much bitter about having been left out of the final wetlands negotiations.

By Birding-Aus, on February 11th, 2017 Many Australian birders supported the 3-year campaign to protect the Yandina Creek Wetland on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. BirdLife Australia, Birds Queensland and Noosa Parks Association were among the groups that helped. It’s great to report that the campaign paid off and the wetland is to be restored.
