A few weeks ago Optus removed the osprey nest from its phone tower at Charles Darwin University, Casuarina campus, Darwin, after the chicks fledged and now wants to install nesting prevention spikes. We didn’t see the start, and we don’t know why this sandpiper was chosen from a huge number of waders in the area.
