Pacific (Fork-tailed) Swifts and WTNTs

Recently returned from a trip to Iron Range and the greater Cairns area and I recorded the following swift sightings on consecutive days

12 BARN SWALLOWS at LOWER DAINTREE today

hello all,

at 5:15pm today I found the first Barn Swallows of the season for FNQ – 12 of them on the wires above the paddock at the south-east corner of Capt Cook Hwy and Cape Tribulation Rd, Lower Daintree, with a few Welcome Swallows, and Tree and Fairy Martins.

Nikon Monarch 7 binoculars

Peter,

Care should be taken when referring to models of Nikon binocs.

Nikon Monarch and Nikon Monarch 7s are totally different.

The Monarch 7s are nearly double the price of ordinary Monarchs and indeed according to their specs are very good.
