By Birding-Aus, on July 24th, 2018 Hi James,
Things are pretty parched here at the moment so well short of the best birding it can be. By Birding-Aus, on July 24th, 2018 Hi all,
Going to be in Rockhampton for a few days work this coming weekend/early next week. Wondering if anyone has some recommended sites for good birding in the area? Have no particular targets, just would be nice to hang out with the QLD birds we don’t get to appreciate as much whilst in Melbourne.

By Birding-Aus, on July 24th, 2018 I’m going to be visiting Brisbane in a couple of weeks time, and a friend of mine (who lives in Laidley Heights near Gatton) and I want to catch up and do some birding together. Can anyone recommend a site to the west of Brisbane within about a 90 minute drive?
Thanks Wendy Cayless

By Birding-Aus, on July 23rd, 2018 OK I’ll have a go. Whilst I am not sure I would know what is intended by the term or how to identify a Pekin duck as distinct from just a white farm-type Mallard, I find from the internet: www.roysfarm.com/pekin-duck/
“Pekin duck is an old dual purpose duck breed. It was originated in China and . . . → Read More: Fwd: Ducks
