Victorian ducks have flown north! Good news – except that three weeks in to the Victorian duck-hunting season, the dead birds found by rescuers seem to indicate that almost anything is being shot. Photos are on my flickr photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/69119011@N05/ These protected species were collected in the last three weeks:4 Eurasian Coots 1 Little Black Cormorant 1 Black-winged Stilt 1 Great Cormorant 3 unidentified raptors 1 Red-capped Plover You may like to email the Premier, the leaders of the National Party or the Minister for Agriculture: ted.baillieu@parliament.vic.gov.au peter.ryan@parliament.vic.gov.au peter.walsh@parliament.vic.gov.au ===============================
