Birds nest in the weirdest places!

Hi folks

I have just blogged about a remarkable White-browed scrubwren nest from 2012 in Brisbane. I hope you enjoy it.

A friend a couple of years ago had a Tassie Scrubwren nest and raise young in a peaked (baseball) cap hanging by her front door!

    Hi Andrew,

That is truly amazing. When I was studying the ecology of White-browed Scrubrwen for my Ph.D in the early 1980s I came across an active WBSW nest in a horse’s saddle bag on the verandah rail of a homestead. But it’s the first time I’ve heard of this species nesting in someone’s jeans!

    Cheers, Stephen
