Barred cuckoo shrike – Bellingen NSW

Hi all, I saw 10 barred cuckoo shrikes with a flock of 100 odd fig birds by the bellinger river in Bellingen on April 5th.

Also had a spotted quail thrush in mount kaputar np 2nd April.

    hey Nathan,

    great spotting… aren’t Barred Cuckoo-shrikes just lovely & handsome & dapper!!

did u notice any Red-browed Treeecreepers on the top of Mt Kaputar?? i had some there in May 96 & it has been regarded since as an unusual sighting, but my feeling is that they may well occur there normally – plenty of perfect habitat for them up there, albeit a long way inland… but I haven’t been back there since 96…

    cheers
