I’m really not a great fan of petitions but this one does seem to be so very worthwhile. I’ll just include the opening statement plus the link. They have collected over one million “signatures” so far and there are just a couple of days left to register.
The Amazon is in serious danger: Brazil is on the verge of gutting its forest protection laws — unless we act now, vast tracts of our planet’s lungs could be opened up to clear-cutting devastation.
