I had a great time at Barren Grounds today. We made a very late start and had kids in tow, not arriving until midday. It was very foggy, with the fog alternating into fine rain, and quite lovely. Plenty of birds about, with highlights being Eastern Bristlebird, Bassian Thrust and Beautiful Firetail, all very confiding and frolicking on the path giving crippling views from close range.
