Shy Albatross x 2 on offer

Yes, technically it is illegal to pick up dead birds or animals without a permit. Having said that, I have picked up dead birds in good condition (and the occasional reptile) to give to the WA Museum. In practice you will not get charged if you don’t have a collection at home (without a permit), and especially if you have a track record of passing the specimens on. BirdLife Western Australia does have a permit to keep feathers, a few eggs and a stuffed Carnaby’s to display at schools during our visits. Although thinking again, the permit is probably for Birds Australia Western Australia and so we should get it renewed. _________________________________________________________________ Frank O’Connor Birding WA http://birdingwa.iinet.net.au Phone : (08) 9386 5694 Email : foconnor@iinet.net.au _______________________________________________ Birding-Aus mailing list Birding-Aus@birding-aus.org To change settings or unsubscribe visit: http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org
