Dear Birding-aussers
Has anyone had experience of overnighting near the airport in Mauritius. I have to do this en route to Madagascar in October and so far the only hotels my travel agent has turned up are over 30 miles from the airport and the usual sort of phoney native palm huts along a golden beach with bar stools in the swimming pool.
I just want a simple overnighter that doesn’t involve a long trip to and from the airport. Too hard to find – maybe so in that island which seems to exist only for tourists. Hope someone can advise.
