Fork-tailed (Pacific) Swifts in FNQ

hi Mike and others,

I had a very large and spread flock of Fork-tailed Swifts this morning at 7:55-8:00am from Craiglie on Capt Cook Hwy all the way to Cooya Beach, a distance of abour 20kms.

the birds were hawking about 20mtrs above ground and I reckon there was about 250-300 birds. no Needletails amongst them though that I could see.

weather was steamy and very hot and overcast, having had storms overnight.

cheers,
