Fire at The Spit, WTP

I just noticed on the CFA website that they’ve listed a 12ha controlled fire at “Point Wilson – The Spit”, dated yesterday. Apparently we aren’t allowed in on total fire ban days anyway, but I’d be interested to hear exactly where it was and how much damage was done when someone next visits. There is a recently burned patch along 29 Mile Road, more or less opposite the gate into the T-Section lagoons (Gate 1). I noticed it in an alert message from the CFA Fire Ready app on Thursday afternoon. It looks a lot smaller than 12 ha. I don’t think it was a controlled burn – possibly started by a lightning strike?
