Hi all, May be of interest, Banded Stilts are the latest inland-breeding waterbird to be present in the Perth area in higher than usual numbers. Recently, reports have included 20,000+ on Lake Preston at Myalup (only one part of the lake)400+ at Lake Joondalup250+ on Lake McLarty105 at Bibra Lake69 at Kogolup Swamp68 at Nairns (Peel Inlet) Also small numbers in locations they rarely turn up in general, including 1 at Lake Monger No reports from Rottnest but I suspect there will be plenty over there Cheers,John ===============================
