  • Terek Sandpiper at Jawbone?

For all you birders that are still not using eremaea ebird, either because you don’t have an iphone/ android phone or because you haven’t signed up (Jenny spry), or as Jenny said too old for new technology there was a sighting of a terek sandpiper at jawbone today at 1pm by Matthew Pedersen (i think I spelt it right ), there was no information other than the bird being there was hoping if anyone else has seen or heard of a Terek Sandpiper around central Melbourne? Or if anyone is interested in checking it out I would love to hear results…… I will be going to check myself on Friday! Cheers and happy birding Philip Peel _______________________________________________ Birding-Aus mailing list Birding-Aus@birding-aus.org To change settings or unsubscribe visit: http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org

  • RFI Beerburrum and Possible Bribie Island

We are planning a family vacation to Beerburrum for my young boys to go to Australia Zoo next year in June and I am planning to try and get a full days birding in with a guide. I am an intermediate birdwatcher with only about 360 species in Australia and most of those being in Victoria but have done one trip when I was 18 to the Wet tropics so do have some QLD species under my belt. I was looking possibly for a day birding at Bribie Island thinking that would possibly be the best area around Beerburrum to find some of the QLD species. Firstly does people agree that Bribie island would be the best location around the area and Secondly does anyone know of any guiding services available in this area? =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: birding-aus-request@vicnet.net.au http://birding-aus.org ===============================

I am heading out too the WTP on Friday morning with my father and my eldest son (he is 5) too see if we can find the Northern Shoveler.. This will be the 3rd visit there without luck! Can anyone give me any up to date sightings of where to actually find it? I know previous records show it still on Lake Borrie but it’s a pretty large lake!! Any information would be greatly appreciated.. Kindest Regards and happy birding Philip =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: birding-aus-request@vicnet.net.au http://birding-aus.org ===============================
