Big(ish) swift flock – northern Sydney

Hi all seen today over my house – Bobbin Head Road, Turramurra, northern Sydney – at approx 1:30pm was a biggish (200+) flock of swifts. Mostly WTNTS but 2 Fork-Tailed also noted. They were quite high up (individual birds to the edge of the pack were just discernible to the naked eye), but as they were circling in a pretty tightly packed whirling group, they made a noticeable darker smudge in the sky. They came up from the east and headed west – presumably whatever they wee feeding on was being carried by the n/easterly breeze that was blowing. Otherwise a few clouds about but mostly fine and sunny. Earlier this week (Monday) I had a Dollarbird go over too. Cheers Tom Wilson
