The following is a digest of Sightings Reported on Birdpedia for the period Monday, December 1, 2014 to Sunday, December 7, 2014: Area: SA Location: Magazine Road Wetlands Pectoral Sandpiper (Calidris melanotos) (3) 3 birds seen from bank of the path approx. half way to bird hide, near brackish water & rocks on track area running along western boundary. Excellent view of birds on ground only 10 metres from observors. 3 birds also seen 30 mins later on mud in front of bird hide. Long-toed Stint (Calidris subminuta) (3) Much to our amazement and after extended observation 3 LTS seen in and out of reeds in shallow water edge of middle pond. Seen from central path. Also observed in flight.
