eye colour in Bronze Cuckoos

I’ve been looking at photos I have taken recently of Shining and Horsfield’s BCs and I note the former sp has paler eyes than the latter. I realise this is a sample of one for each sp, but is this a consistent difference between the two? — John Leonard
