There was a message from Carl Moller from Bundaberg yesterday regarding a group of about 10 Swift Parrots he had seen at Cordalba State Forest near Bundaberg. A photo confirmed the sighting. It is possibly the most northern sighting of these birds and is certainly in recent years. SE Queensland birders should check any flowering eucalypts with lorikeets in attendence as Swifties can often slip under the radar.
