Phalarope Presence at Leanyer WTP Darwin

The Phalarope was still present at the ponds at 6:30PM today (24th Jan). Seen from outside Eastern Fence at ‘overflow’ of the 3rd bund in. In presence of about 30 other birds (Ducks,Stilts, Coots). It was vigorously wading and feeding across the overflow and wasn’t spending time roosting or floating as has been the case in other observations no sign of that initial limp. Observed for 40minutes. It would be great if others would keep us posted as to its presence. I assume it would be diligent in monitoring and noting its condition and how long it stays? A good scope is essential if you haven’t seen it though, I don’t think we will see it any closer (unless the ponds open again). _______________________________________________ Birding-Aus mailing list Birding-Aus@birding-aus.org To change settings or unsubscribe visit: http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org
