South Coast Track

Pardon my ignorance but what is the problem with drinking water on the track? Some birds which haven’t been mentioned are the sea and shorebirds. Some of the rock headlands, partic. Deadperson’s Bay shelter (if it still exists) and around Cox’s gave some good view of both shore (Black Faced Cormorants, Sooty OCs, Caspian Terns etc. ) and even some pelagics. The offshore islands have breeding colonies of Fairy Prion, Common Diving Petrels, STSW, Little Penguins and a few others so depending on your bins and the weather you should be able to pick a few of them from their GISS at a distance and with the right wind they can be quite close inshore. Prions Beach is a good spot for shorebirds and unbelievable amounts of multinational rubbish! Great walk.
