Today I saw nine Blue-winged parrots at Torquay golf course. It was a hearts-content watch as they fed on the grass, about ten yards from me – and I had binoculars. It was a thrill, as I’d only had two poor sightings of them before.
I played poorly, but the blue-wings made the day.
