My initial thoughts in very quick succession on reading Don’s posting were:
1. That is a very interesting posting 2. I wonder where Croker Island is 3. I’ll just ask Don
I know I can look it up with Google or something but this is a conversational forum and sometimes it is just nice to have a bit of human contact.
In retrospect I am glad I did this as I have learnt all sorts of useful information both on and mainly off line. I’ have even learnt that they have crocodiles in Florida.
Thanks to all who responded. I’m thinking of trying to visit Croker Island when I am in Darwin early next year.
Thanks to Don for telling us about this place. How fortunate we are to have this Birding-aus forum to tell us about fantastic new locations, that many of us may not have even heard of.
