Hope you get this on time, I made a trip to Valencia, Spain and had my bag stolen from me with my passport and personal effects therein. The embassy is willing to help by letting me fly without my passport, I just have to pay for a ticket and settle Hotel bills. Unfortunately for me, I can’t have access to funds, I’ve made contact with my bank but they need more time to come up with a new one. I was thinking of asking you to lend me some quick funds that I can give back as soon as I get in. I really need to be on the next available flight. I was in the Border Ranges a fortnight ago (camped at Forest Tops campsite). I got lucky with a rufous scrubbird crossing the road on the Brindle Creek loop. Heard at least 2 others on the loop. (at the top of the range – before the Antarctic Beach Lookout). Murray Hunt is in Queensland running Daintree River Boatman Cruises. I spoke to him by phone this afternoon and can confirm that he is not in Europe. He said that he would love to visit Spain, but he is a bit busy at the moment.
