Dick Smith’s Population Puzzle

I agree whole heartedly with Wendy. Not to mention Victorian Government plans for a northern link between the Greensborough Ring Road and the Eastern Freeway – which will eliminate the remnant Grassy Woodland at Watsonia Barracks and then heading for a Yarra Crossing through Banyule Flats and Bolin Bolin billabong…There has been some talk of tunnelling, but what sane engineer would choose to tunnel through a flood zone when he can build bridge or viaduct?

I am really surprised that there has not been more concern expressed about the prospective destruction of the Yarra as a major wildlife corridor.

For more information, check the ‘Friends of Banyule’ website.
