I had a positive audible sighting of an Eastern Koel yesterday morning here
at Coal Point.

Must have got left behind or decided to brave the southern climes till his
mates all come back next spring!!!!!

Agree with Rod, but I'd add Mt Glorious Rainforest walk west of Brissie if the Riflebirds, Catbirds and Russet-tailed Thrush are still around (also Noisy Pitta and Logrunners, but they will be at O'Reilly's too?)

Scope purchase

Hi everyone…👋🏻
I’m ready to purchase a scope to see those shorebirds better as we’re moving towards Cairns direction soon (& would love one for when they arrive again at end of year (is Nordmanns still around at esplanade)?
I need to know peoples opinions on what’s the most expensive Scope, to mid range expensive/affordable and brands…and anything else I might need to know about purchasing a scope
